2023: Elevating The Matriarch and Growing Community Connections
The holidays are here and OakLuv is back! Our team is ready to take on our 15th year of giving and embracing the true meaning of the holiday season. We have also worked on something special this year, with a fresh twist on selfless giving to make a difference in Oakland.
This year, The OakLuv Foundation will embark on the task of bringing love to Oakland communities beyond the holiday season, and as a year-round endeavor with purposeful campaigns. The Matriarch Community Grant is the first step in reimagining OakLuv, the foundation’s ability to give back, and make an impact in Oakland.
We are also celebrating the Quincieañera of the cherished Fruitvale Posada! For 15 years, we have proudly organized this free event for children and families, providing a safe space to gather and celebrate the magic of the holidays. This Posada is set to be the biggest yet, featuring dozens of family-friendly activities in addition to the largest piñata ever seen in the history of Oakland!
